Reduce the number of witches

Ok, the title for my Random House book is hammered down (pun intended, since one possible title was The Witch's Hammer... referring to the Malleus Maleficarum in translation).

The Witches' Trinity made it through the final meeting where it could be shot down, with just one eensy tiny change. The witches are now just a witch.

The book is officially titled The Witch's Trinity.

I'm happy with that, in fact wanted to suggest it since apostrophes are slippery things and confusing. Now it's just a simple, non-grammatically-perplexing possessive. And really, though there are several witches addressed in the novel, it's a first-person narrative from the point of view of the most important one.

I'm so thrilled this title made it through the fire (again, pun intended). I am awaiting my copyediting round and the arrival of cover art. Can't wait.

Excellent.

That should resolve the pesky issues with booksellers trying to find your book if the customer has the name.

I remember working at B&N when the book "The Horse Whisperer" came out. I answered a phone call from a customer asking about it, but it was so new that I hadn't heard or seen it yet. I typed in "Hoarse Whisperer" and couldn't find it.

It was only after he gave me the author's name could I find a listing. It made me realize that I had read one to many books by Dean R. Koontz.
